Traction - spinal decompression

Non-operative spinal decompression is a type of motorized-mobilization traction that is used in patients with back pain of various levels. It involves gently stretching a segment of the spine by changing the traction force and position of the patient.

The change in traction force releases the intervertebral disc by creating a negative pressure in itself, which pulls it back to its original position, relieving the surrounding structures - nerves and facet joints.

It is used in the following conditions: pain in the neck and lower back, herniation or degenerative diseases of the intervertebral disc, facet syndromes, various states of load on the nerve roots when leaving the spine.

The treatment lasts from 20-45 minutes and is usually applied for 10 to 20 sessions. Electrotherapy, ultrasound, thermo- and laser therapy can be used before or after treatment.
